Burnside Cemetery

Muxlow Surveying, in collaboration with The Umlor Group, was contracted to conduct a ground-penetrating radar (GPR) scan of a potter’s field at Burnside Cemetery in Burnside Township, Michigan. The task was to identify potential burial plots up to 100 years old. Multiple anomalies and suspected burial sites were identified. While on site, our technician observed a rise in the ground surface. A GPR scan was conducted over the area, which detected the presence of a burial vault and confirmed the suspicion of a rising vault.
