Washago Pond Survey

The Umlor Group has completed several projects and continues to provide survey services for the Huron-Clinton Metroparks. Washago Pond is a key feature of Willow Metropark in Brownstown; however, the outlet control structure had failed, causing water levels to drop significantly and rendering the pond unusable for recreational purposes. The Umlor Group provided full topographic survey services of the former 20+ acre pond, including subsurface shots of the remaining water area. In addition, detailed data was collected for the existing forebay, weir structure, and county drain feeding the pond. The Huron-Clinton Metroparks engineering department utilized the survey data for the design and restoration of Washago Pond.
